About RA Therapy & Training

I’m Robyn Hutchinson and I’m the proud owner of RA Therapy & Training

My interest in equestrian sport originally led me to train as a riding instructor, however once qualified as a BHS Intermediate Instructor (now known as a BHS Stage 4 Senior Coach) I allowed my fascination for biomechanics, injury and rehabilitation to grow and initially trained in both Human and Equine Bowen Therapy finally leaving my position as a Senior Instructor at Wellington Riding to begin RA Therapy & Training in September 2008.

Over the years my passion for working with both horse and rider to minimise injury and maximise performance has developed and I have continued to add to my portfolio of techniques, allowing me to now offer a unique combination of services to clients with both two and four legs! I currently use a combination of Sports and Remedial Massage, Bowen Therapy, Kinesiology Taping and Rehabilitation Programmes to benefit human clients and Veterinary Physiotherapy and Equine Bowen Therapy for my animal clients. The addition of a permanent treatment room for humans in Shipston-on-Stour has allowed my practice to grow and I am thrilled to now regularly work with clients from all walks of life, in addition to my riders!

2020 was an exciting year for RA Therapy & Training as the completion of my post graduate studies in Veterinary Physiotherapy (NAVP) and the launch of my fully mobile treatment room have led to fantastic developments to RA Therapy & Training. While the addition of veterinary physiotherapy to my skills may not directly benefit my human clients, it has allowed me to add canine treatments to my services and greatly develop my equine assessment & treatment skills.

The mobile treatment room provides a versatile, warm & hygienic centre for treating human clients at a range of equestrian & non-equestrian sporting events and is an excellent facility for RA Therapy & Training’s Symmetry Service

RA Therapy & Training began in 2008 when I became a BHS Stage Four Senior Coach along with the completion of my qualifications in Human & Equine Bowen Therapy. Since then I have enhanced my skill set with additional qualifications including a Postgraduate Diploma in Veterinary Physiotherapy (Merit), BSc Hons (1st Class) Equine & Human Sport Science & an ITEC Diploma in Sports & Remedial Massage. In addition to these qualifications I attend regular continued professional development to ensure the highest quality service is always provided to my clients.
